Recently I had the pleasure of providing wedding DJ entertainment for a fantastic wedding reception at Southsea Golf Club.
The couple were lucky enough to enjoy beautiful late-spring weather throughout the day, creating a relaxed atmosphere for guests before the celebrations moved into the evening. From the emotional first dance through to the final singalong of the night, it was a brilliant wedding filled with great music, happy guests, and plenty of memorable moments.
Wedding Entertainment at Southsea Golf Club
Southsea Golf Club provided a wonderful setting for the wedding reception, with guests enjoying the sunshine before gathering inside for the evening celebrations.
The room looked fantastic with elegant décor, floral displays, and plenty of space for guests to celebrate together. As the evening progressed, the atmosphere continued to build as family and friends gathered around the dance floor ready for the first dance.

A First Dance to Die With A Smile
One of the standout moments of the evening was the couple’s first dance to Die With A Smile by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars.
Surrounded by family and friends, the newlyweds shared their first dance together as husband and wife while guests gathered around the dance floor to watch. It was a lovely moment that set the tone for the rest of the evening.
A Playlist Full of Variety
One thing that made this wedding particularly enjoyable was the variety of music throughout the night.
The couple wanted a mixture of modern chart hits, dance floor fillers, singalong favourites, and plenty of 80s classics mixed throughout the evening.

The combination of different genres and decades meant there was something for everyone throughout the evening.
A Fantastic Atmosphere from Start to Finish
As the night progressed, more and more guests joined the dance floor.
Family members, friends, and guests of all ages got involved, creating the kind of atmosphere every couple hopes for on their wedding day. Whether it was singing along to a favourite anthem or dancing to a classic party track, the energy remained high throughout the evening.
The warm weather, great company, and carefully chosen playlist all helped create an unforgettable evening celebration.
Finishing the Night with Simply The Best
To round off the evening, the couple chose Simply The Best by Tina Turner as their final song.
It proved to be the perfect ending, bringing guests together for one last singalong before the celebrations came to a close. It was a fantastic finish to a brilliant wedding reception.
